Randal Bruce, Ph.D., ABPP
Dr. Randal Bruce has been a Clinical Neuropsychologist for over 33 years. He is also a board-certified Rehabilitation Psychologist, providing rehabilitation diagnostic and therapy services to survivors of brain and spinal cord injuries. Dr. Bruce earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Bruce has worked in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation for much of his career, serving as a staff neuropsychologist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, and Director of Neuropsychological Services at Special Tree Rehabilitation Services. He maintained a private practice for 25 years evaluating and treating adults with various neurological conditions and also served as the owner and CEO of Aspire Rehabilitation Services in Troy, Michigan before joining Renee Applebaum, Ph.D., P.C.
Dr. Bruce continues to provide neuropsychological assessment with adults for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of traumatic brain injuries. He also evaluates individuals for cognitive impairment as a result of disease processes and dementia, as well as for attention deficit hyperactivity disorders and other neurocognitive disorders. Dr. Bruce provides forensic evaluations and services, including expert consultation and testimony as an expert witness.
Dr. Bruce formerly served as a board member for the Michigan Brain Injury Provider’s Council. He is a member of the International Neuropsychological Association; Division 40 (Neuropsychology Division) and Division 22 (Rehabilitation Psychology) of the American Psychological Association; National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, Michigan Psychological Association, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
